Celebrities wear the latest trend and guide us towards how to wear these trends - most have stylist or designers on speed-dial. Say goodbye to Ill-Fitted shirts with Rebecca and Drew shirts

How many people like me have had this gaping shirt/dress issues? Most people I guess. Women with certain body types find it extremely difficult to select out of ready to wear clothes, a style that perfectly suit their body shape..I always wonder why some fashion houses now cater for petite, regular and tall women ..and not also for all body shapes??? Thus we are left with a wardrobe filled with ill-fitted clothes.

Most of the time, I have had to wear camisoles inside a shirt (imagine how inconvenient that is in warm temperature) and leave the top buttons opened to avoid embarrassing gaping situations. Or the use of Gap fillers and "safety" pins! To be honest I avoid shirts!! Those are the least items in my wardrobe..Fit for me is an absolute must!

For a professional setting or a Job interview, ill-fitting shirts cause you the biggest embarrassment 'wardrobe malfunctions' it's cliched. Hawes & curtis and TM Lewin shirts do a great Job at combating this by introducing the bigger bust - smaller waist and the other way round...The only problem here is, how do you define big or small?? We are of various sizes and shapes - so some still end up with ill-fitted clothes. It's no surprise I own only three H & C and TM Lewin shirts combined, although I promote them to my clients as they give you a classic professional look.

Help is at hand, thanks to the immaculate designs of American Designers Rebbecca and Drew. Their shirts are custom designed with you in mind. Their signature two- sets of double buttons around the bust, solves our gaping issues. Gives you peace of mind regardless of your movement. Also, the shirt is designed around your bust size, waist size to get the right fit for you. You select your body shape to ensure the right fit ...to the extent that shirts for women with a bigger waist is sewn with double seam to nip in the waist for that curvy look. Your height is also built into the design as petites will go for regular and those over 5.6 will have longer lengths. They have shops in Houston and New york but do online deliveries on ground for a flat rate of $12, and internationally for $40. We need a UK shop! Below are some picks in different styles and colours on offer.

Be the star of the party - Even on a budget !!

Same stylist. Two people. Two outfits. Different budgets. Same party!

Imagine you had to style two different clients, on two different budgets, I mean five times different, but to the same party! Challenging?? Of course it is! I'll explain what my choices will be and the rationale behind these choices.

When you put a lot of thought into what you wear before stepping out -normally referred to as 'making an effort' - people including strangers will subconsciously make an effort with you. On the other hand, if you put no thought to it and appear like you can't be bothered...other people will not be bothered making an effort with you. Think!

Look 1.

1. Warehouse striped blazer £75 2. Lisa Marie Fernandez black bandeau dress £340 3. Vivienne Westwood earrings £50 4. Vivienne Westwood elongated croc skin patent clutch £395 5. Jimmy Choo red patent peep toes £395

Total cost of Look 1 = £1255

Look 2.

1. New Look Bangles £6 2. Asos folded pleats navy blue dress £45 3. Betty Jackson Corsage flower necklace £20 4. Dune striped clutch bag £45 5. Dune striped court shoes £85 5.Amazon Navy blue stud earrings £18

Total cost of Look 2 = £213

I will start by stating a fact most of us already know. Women dress for the other woman, not for a man..Sorry to deflate your egos! We seek the approval of another woman or seek to be better than the other...If we had to dress for men, that will be the cheapest venture - as they are more concerned about what is in it than what is on it...fact! The approval we get off other women (peers) is what gives us the confidence that the opposite sex then feels attracted to.

When going to a party, we are more concerned about what the other woman is wearing. Some women will turn down going to a party on the basis they think the other women will out dress them or simply...they can't compete. If a woman tells you they really do not care what the other woman is wearing....that's a woman being economical with the truth..or rather living in self denial. This competition is a healthy competition, at least we strive to look better, and this results in increased self confidence. This can only be a positive outcome.

Now I have two Fab ladies with extremely different pockets. The first one has no limit on what she can spend on her clothes. Don't we all wish!! Although I feel sick when I see people spend so much on a worthless looking garment...where the price tag is only in their head! On the other hand ..the quality of an expensive or designer garment always speaks for it self.

For 'look 1', I went for a classic look. I'll rather spend so much on a classic item that can stand the test of time. The Black bandeau dress on look one has exquisite attention to detail, luxurious fabric and perfect finish. It's a star piece and worth its every penny. The elaborate Vivienne Westwood clutch is clear for all to see that the look is so on the money. The Red shoes adds a bit of drama and the striped sailor blazer adds a modern, trendy twist to the outfit .....I'm thinking city chic!

For 'look 2' .. Being on a budget, knowing she still has to compete with look 1.. If you haven't got all the money to spend on that star outfit...you can create magic, through carefully combined pieces... you could take all the attention away! The shoe and bag set was the star for me. I knew my second lady will get a compliment even from lady 1. I focused on accessorising with the elaborate necklace, loud bangles and unique shoe and bag set...I focused on making lady 2 very trendy and dramatic than classic. It's important both ladies bring different things to the table. At the end of the day, they will be sat at opposite sides of the table throwing admiring glances at each other... well who wins...you decide!

It might seem a not- so- clever move to spend so much on outfits. I will be realistic, the Vivienne Westwo0d black clutch can be paired with any outfit and will look distinct and new all the time...The blazer could be worn casually with a pair of Jeans for a casual chic look. The shoes could be worn year in - year out with so many options...They are all classic colours.

For Look 2 ...The shoe and bag set can be very choosy when it comes to pairing. It's almost an outfit in itself that wearing it too often, will ruin everything special about it...At times those inexpensive outfits work out expensive in the long run......The choice is yours..Although it goes to show, regardless of your budget, you can still look great or even better than someone who is top to bottom in designer gear...Just be creative and work on your strengths.

Finally confidence is everything ....Wearing an expensive outfit without the show of confidence in your body language knock £££$$$ off it....If you wear a cheap outfit with confidence ..walking straight with your head up and a great smile...add £££££ signs to your look!

So work it people ...Fab it always!

What is it with White ?????

18Th of February every year is one of my most personal days. How do I explain this? Imagine breaking up with someone you truly love.... Imagine if someone you love tells you they have to go and will never be in touch .....The number you used to get them on speed dial now rings 'this number does not exist please check and try again' ppppfff.... disappears into thin air!!!

Imagine all the dreams you had and your plans together, .....All gone in an instant! Everything changes.

Those are the feelings this day brings. That's how it feels when you lose a loved one...The only difference is, with a breakup - the famous saying 'where there is life there is hope' - you might one day cross paths and have a reconciliation or at least get an explanation..With mine, my questions will never be answered - as mine's gone to a place where only Angels live. When you go, you never will return.

So what is it with 'WHITE'?

Is it angels??? For me, every memory is stored with a dress. I remember my guest with the dress. What does this say about what you wear..Think again!! Because you will be remembered by it. White was the colour chosen to be worn to celebrate the life, or rather the passing on of my dad to a higher place (our belief). I thought we were meant to mourn and wear black! As far as I was concerned, I was mourning!

Oh well, it was a white scenery, almost everyone was dressed in white. I had never seen so much white in my life...to say the least, it was truly relaxing.

Talking about colour and the subconscious messages you transmit to the people you meet; white for us meant happiness and celebration...in as much as white to the Chinese - is the traditional colour for mourning. White is mostly associated with purity and innocence, thus symbolic for brides and angels. Doctors and nurses wear white to signify sterility. Some people wear white to be looked upon as open and trustworthy. White can also be seen as a colour of resignation or a symbol of surrender, normally a white flag is often raised as a token of peaceful intentions. White is also regarded as light and normally associated with summer. It's true that while white is mostly associated with positives, be cautious in wearing white to appear pure and innocent - as to some, you might appear deceitful.

Some might argue white isn't a colour, but the colourist theory from the time of Sir Isaac Newton suggested that all colours put together produces white. It has since been argued that if you watch a spinning colour wheel, you will eventually see white..So then white must be a colour. White also reflects light. Unlike most colours - if you pair other colours with white ...it will reflect evenly the spectrum of all the colours with no one colour over shadowing the other. Take note of this when putting your outfit together.

So is white for every skin tone ??? Definitely not! Although there are different types of white from clear white, to off white, ivory and cream. The right colour for every one is determined by your skin tone - if it's blue based(cool) or yellow based (warm), your eye colour- if it's light or dark and your hair colour.....

Wearing the wrong colours can add years to your look, dulls skin, hair and eyes, magnify skin imperfections and make you appear heavier than you are; while wearing the right colours makes your eye sparkle, give your skin a healthy flawless appearance, makes you look younger and increase self confidence. White is not an easy colour to pull off....while wearing white, think contrast .... The fairer you are the easier it is to pull pure white top to bottom, the darker skinned are most suited to Cream, or white mixed with black or other colours in their palette. Ebony Skin is most suited to Ivory.

White is at its best with all skin tones if it is worn with accessories such as scarves or jewellery closer to the face in the colour most suited to your skin tone. Since white reflects light, the tones of the colour will reflect on your face making you achieve a flawless look as explained above. So do not shy away from white if it is not in your palette, simply choose a style such as strapless or deep v that keeps it far away from your face and accessorise it in your most flattering colours....

On a final note, silver is to white as bees are to honey. It's no wonder every bride looks totally amazing on their wedding day.

To achieve a classic look ... Pairing white with silver accessories is divine.... Also combining white with other neutral colours such as black, grey, charcoal, nude or brown is classic and guarantees a great professional look. Having said that, White is a neutral colour and will go with any colour.

I never sign off without sharing some lovely pieces on the high street with you. One of my clients had asked me to source white dresses for an upcoming party... so I decided to publish most of my findings on the blog.... Just like the little black dress, the little white dress is fast turning into a wardrobe staple. The trends are mostly lace, asymmetrical, embroidery, body skimming, folds, shapes and drapes....
